The Lessons area shows every Lesson for the Students linked to your account — both upcoming sessions and ones that have already happened.
Viewing your Lessons
From the navigation menu, open the Lessons page. Each Lesson shows key details at a glance, including the topic, the date and time, the Tutor, and which of your Students is taking part.
Click on any Lesson to open it. What you see on a Lesson depends on whether it has happened yet:
Upcoming Lessons show the scheduled details and, when it's time, a way to join.
Completed Lessons show the Lesson Report and insights, and where your Organization allows it, the recording and transcript.
Being told about Lessons
Depending on how your tutoring provider has set things up, you may be emailed when a Lesson is booked, shortly before it starts, and if it's moved or called off. Times are shown in your own timezone. You may also get an attendance email a few minutes after a Lesson starts showing who joined.
Your provider controls which of these go out. See Email Notifications.
Joining a Lesson
For online Lessons, you can join the Lesson space from the Lesson. If you have more than one Student on a Lesson, Bobbin will ask which Student you're joining as so you end up in the right place.
This is useful if you'd like to sit in on or help set up a younger Student's session. Your Tutor and provider decide how Lessons are run, so if you're unsure whether to join a particular session, check with them first.
Two things worth knowing about joining:
Each Student's link is their own. Whoever opens a Student's join link enters the Lesson as that Student, so it's best not to forward one on. If your Student can't find theirs, their Tutor can resend it.
You'll see a recording notice. The screen before you enter explains that the session is recorded for safeguarding purposes.
If the classroom is briefly unavailable when you try to open it, you'll see a message asking you to try again shortly rather than an error - it usually clears within a moment.
