Sometimes a classroom session isn't matched to a Lesson. This usually happens when a Tutor and Student meet at a time when no Lesson on the Course is scheduled within 30 minutes, or when the session's Lesson was later deleted. Until it's linked, the session's attendance, chat and any transcript don't appear on any Lesson.
Administrators can find these sessions and link them to the right Lesson.
Finding unlinked sessions
Open Unlinked sessions from the Workspace section of the menu. The page lists classroom sessions that have ended without a Lesson, newest first, along with the Course, the participants, and whether there's a transcript or recording.
By default, only sessions with two or more participants are shown. You can also show every session (even those with one participant), and filter by Course.
Note: The participants list includes everyone who was given a way into the session, even if they never actually connected. It isn't a record of who attended.
Linking sessions to a Lesson
Select the session, or several sessions from the same Course. You can link up to 20 at a time.
Choose the Lesson they belong to. If one was scheduled close to when the sessions ran, Bobbin suggests it. Check the suggestion before you go ahead.
To narrow the list of Lessons, tick the people under Only show lessons with.
Click Link to confirm.
What happens when you link
The sessions' attendance, chat and any transcript move onto the Lesson, and Bobbin regenerates the Lesson's reports. No emails go out when you link sessions. Once the reports have finished generating, you can email the lesson’s Tutors from the Lesson to let them know it’s ready for them to review.
Note: Linking can't be undone. Make sure you've picked the right Lesson before confirming.
Sessions marked Too short to transcribe can still be linked to move their attendance and chat across, but they won't produce AI insights.
If the Lesson the sessions belong to doesn't exist yet, add it to the Course first, then come back and link them.
