You can set homework on the Courses you teach, attach worksheets to it, and see who has handed it in. Your Students upload their work straight into Bobbin, so you don't need to collect it by email or messaging apps.
Note: What you can do depends on your permission level on the Course, which is set in TutorCruncher. Full access and Add & edit can set, edit and delete homework. Edit only can edit homework but not set or delete it. Complete only can see homework but not change it.
Setting homework
Open the Course and go to the Homework tab.
Click Set homework.
Give it a Title so your Students know which homework it is.
Check the Due date and time. It starts at the beginning of the Course's next planned Lesson, or a week from today if there isn't one, and you can change it.
Add any Instructions, for example what to do and what to hand in. This is optional.
Under Files for students, add any worksheets or examples (optional):
Upload files to add a file from your computer.
Choose from resources to pick files already on the Course (This course) or in your own library (Your library).
Click Set homework.
Homework is set for everyone on the Course, and your Students can hand it in straight away. Files can be PNG, JPG, PDF, Word or PowerPoint.
Note: A file you upload while setting homework only belongs to that homework. It doesn't go into your library, and it's deleted if the homework is deleted. To reuse a worksheet, add it to your library or the Course's resources first, then pick it with Choose from resources.
Seeing who has handed in
The Homework tab leads with your latest homework, showing how many Students have handed it in and a list of everyone on the Course. Each Student shows Not yet, Not handed in (the due date has passed), Handed in or Handed in late.
Use the download button next to a Student to save their work. Earlier homework is listed under Earlier homework. Click Open, or a homework's title, to see its page and preview each Student's files.
You'll also see a Homework card on each Lesson's page. Before a Lesson, it shows homework due in the two weeks before it and who hasn't handed it in, so you can follow up in the Lesson. After a Lesson, it shows homework set in the two weeks after it.
Editing or deleting homework
Open the homework and click Edit to change its title, due date, instructions or files. Your Students see the changes straight away, and anything they've already handed in stays as it is.
Click Delete to remove it. This also deletes every Student's handed-in work and any worksheets you uploaded onto it, and it can't be undone, so download anything you want to keep first.
How your Students hand in
Your Students sign in to Bobbin and click Homework in the menu. They drag their files onto Hand in your work (a photo or a PDF is fine) and click Hand in. Only you and your agency's Administrators can see their work. Parents can't see homework or hand-ins.
Before the due date, a Student can add or remove files as often as they like, up to 20 files.
After the due date, anything already handed in is locked, and neither you nor the Student can change it.
A Student who hasn't handed anything in by the due date can still hand in once afterwards, marked Handed in late.
If a Student can't see the homework, check they're signing in with their own login. A Student without an email address on their record can't sign in, so ask your agency to add one.
