Logging In and Finding Your Way Around

Learn how to log in to Bobbin as a Client.

Written by Raashi Thakran

As a Client, you use Bobbin through your web browser. This article covers logging in for the first time and finding your way around.

Logging in

Open the Bobbin login page in your browser and select 'Log in with TutorCruncher'. You can also sign in with your email address and password. If you've received Lesson Report emails from Bobbin, that email address is the one to use.

If you don't yet have a password or can't log in, use the password reset option on the login page, or contact your tutoring provider — they manage Client accounts and can help you get access.

Your first login

The first time you log in, Bobbin may show a short Welcome to Bobbin tour and a Privacy policy notice. You can move through the tour or dismiss it, and accept the privacy notice to continue to your account.

Adding two-factor authentication

If you'd like an extra layer of security on your account, you can turn on two-factor authentication from your profile settings. You'll then be asked for a code from an authenticator app on your phone as well as your password when you sign in.

It's optional, and worth considering given your account holds reports about your child. If you lose access to your authenticator app, your tutoring provider can reset it for you so you can set it up again.

Emails from Bobbin

Emails about your Lessons, such as Lesson Reports, come from your tutoring provider's own email address. Emails about your account i.e. verifying your email, setting or resetting a password come from Bobbin's address. Both carry your provider's branding, so it should be clear who they're from.

Finding your way around

When you log in, you arrive on your Dashboard - your home screen in Bobbin. From here, the navigation menu lets you move between the main areas:

  • Students - the Students linked to your account

  • Lessons - upcoming and past Lessons for your Students

  • Calendar - a calendar view of your Students' Lessons

From these areas you can open any Lesson to read its Report and insights, and open a Student profile to see their Progress Reports. You can return to the Dashboard at any time.

There's also a search box, which looks across your Students, their Lessons and their Courses.
